What is the most interesting part of your job? The most interesting part of my job is the variety that each kiddo brings into each therapeutic activity. Each day and each child is unique, and boy, do we have some fun while we learn, laugh, and explore what our bodies and minds are capable of! It never ceases to amaze me just how playfully creative each kid’s approach towards a craft, a piece of food, or their own shoes can be!
What is the biggest mistake a therapist can make? The biggest mistake a therapist can make is to stop learning and growing themselves! We encourage our kids to achieve new things each day, but that magic fades when a therapist forgets to remain client centered or gets stuck in a rut with activities. Therapists should strive to be as persistent towards learning to better their treatment and practice!
Use three words to describe the best characteristics of your personality: I am often described as enthusiastic, creative and understanding!
